Topaz Labs just released version 5.5.0 of their photo enlargement Photoshop plugin, Topaz GigaPixel AI.
Gigapixel AI is designed to increase image resolution using Topaz Labs’ neural networks. The software is continuously trained on a wide variety of sample images to understand how photorealistic details looks.
What’s new in Topaz Gigapixel AI 5.5.0
Topaz Labs has announced improvements in their AI engine and models, as well as a few interface changes. These updates are summarized below. You can check the full release notes here. We do not yet have a Gigapixel AI review, but we plan to remedy that soon.
“Very Compressed” AI model
Topaz Labs claims that the new “Very Compressed” mode in Gigapixel AI can help you upscale and enhance low resolution images by up to 600%.
New Gigapixel AI engine
According to Topaz Labs, the updated version has now incorporated all new AI models to increase sharpness potential in images.
Interface updates
The update also includes several minor interface improvements. The tools in Gigapixel AI now include tool tips and improved tutorial videos to help new users learn how to use the app.
The Topaz GigaPixel AI update is free for existing users. For new purchases it’s currently available for $79.99, or as a FREE Trial. (Normally $99.99)
